Tournament Registration — $30 (Required)

Every participant must complete the $30 registration. Your registration includes entry into Miss Reel Her In (16+) or Jr. Miss Reel Her In (Ages 3–15) and eligibility to compete for the crown, sash, title, and title prizes. Optional species divisions are $15 each add-on.

MISS REEL HER IN (AGE 16+) – OFFICIAL RULES

OVERALL TITLE: MISS REEL HER IN CROWN

The Miss Reel Her In Title Winner will be determined by the single largest/heaviest eligible fish overall caught during tournament hours.

Species does NOT determine the overall winner

Winner is based solely on the heaviest single fish weighed in

This is the official crown/title of the tournament

ELIGIBLE SPECIES

Only the following species are eligible for division entries:

Flounder

Redfish

Speckled Trout / White Trout

Sheepshead

Tripletail

SPECIES DIVISIONS – $15 ADD-ON (OPTIONAL)

Species divisions are a separate $15 add-on per angler and are OPTIONAL.

Important:

You MUST be registered for the Miss Reel Her In tournament $30 entry to participate in any species division

Species divisions are not included in base registration

Each species has its own payout/division winner based on the largest/heaviest fish of that species.

Available add-on divisions:

Flounder Division – $15

Redfish Division – $15

Trout Division – $15

Sheepshead Division – $15

Tripletail Division – $15

Participants may enter multiple or all divisions by purchasing each add-on separately.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to female anglers ages 16 and up

Must be officially registered for the Miss Reel Her In Tournament Title Division to compete

15 and under must register for Jr Miss Reel Her In Tournament Title Division

All anglers must follow state fishing laws and safety regulations

CATCH RULES

Fish must be caught during official tournament hours

Fish must meet all state size and legal requirements

All fish must be weighed at official tournament weigh station

Tournament officials have final authority on eligibility and scoring

CATCH & RELEASE POLICY

Catch and release fish are NOT eligible for the overall title (crown)

Only weighed and officially verified fish qualify for prizes and standings

OFFICIAL DECISIONS

All decisions made by tournament officials regarding fish eligibility, weights, disputes, and scoring are final and binding.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

All registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

The tournament will proceed in light rain or normal weather conditions.

In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, tournament officials reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event for the safety of all participants.

If the event must be canceled due to severe weather, the tournament will not be rescheduled and will instead convert into a raffle-based prize drawing using registered participants.

By registering, all participants acknowledge and accept these terms.

JUNIOR MISS REEL HER IN DIVISION

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

Ages 3–15

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION

All contestants must be between the ages of 3 to 15 years old

Contestants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times

All participants must be officially registered before fishing begins

All contestants must furnish their own bait and tackle

TOURNAMENT TIMES

Fishing begins: 8:00 PM, September 25th, 2026

Fishing ends: 5:00 PM, September 26th, 2026

All fish must be caught within the official tournament time window

Contestants must be in line and documented by closing time to qualify for weigh-in

FISHING LOCATIONS

Fishing is allowed anywhere in coastal and inland waters, including: Boats, Docks, Piers, Beaches, Harbors, Bays, Ponds. (Basically anywhere a fish can legally be caught in accordance with state law.)

FISHING ASSISTANCE RULES

Ages 6 and under: Parents may assist with baiting hooks, casting help, and removing fish from line. Ages 7 and up: No assistance allowed with baiting, hooking, casting, or landing fish. All contestants must complete their own fishing actions appropriate to their age division

Safety always comes first and overrides all tournament rules

SCORING & WEIGH-IN RULES

One (1) fish per category, per contestant may be entered

The largest fish overall determines the Junior Miss title winner

Winner is determined by heaviest fish overall

In case of a tie, the first fish weighed in wins

All fish must be properly measured before weigh-in (please measure twice)

You may enter the same Fish in a division and for the Title ONCE must be declared when weighed in.

REDFISH CATCH, PHOTO & RELEASE RULE

All Redfish over 25 inches must be Catch, Photo & Release only

These fish are NOT eligible for weigh-in

Fish must be:

o Measured clearly on an approved measuring device

o Photographed or video recorded with measurement visible

o Released immediately after documentation

Proper submission is required to qualify for CPR Redfish entry consideration / Not eligible for the Title only this division.

USM CATCH & RELEASE TAGS

Official Catch & Release tags provided by the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) will be issued at the Captain’s Meeting

Tags are required for all Catch, Photo & Release entries (including Redfish over 25 inches)

Tags must be clearly visible in all photos/videos

Failure to properly display tags may result in disqualification of that entry

FISHING REGULATIONS

All contestants must follow Mississippi state size and creel limits

Illegal fish will NOT be accepted for weigh-in

Contestants and guardians are responsible for verifying legality before submission

WEIGH-IN & FINAL AUTHORITY

All fish condition and compliance includng the right to gut the fish will be inspected at weigh-in

All decisions of the Weighmaster are final

The Weighmaster and Partner have full authority on all rulings, fish condition, and rule compliance

LIABILITY RELEASE

Participants enter the Reel Her In Tournament at their own risk

Reel Her In, its directors, coordinators, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for: Injury, Loss, Damage, Negligence of any kind.

RULE CHANGES

All rules are subject to change up until the start of the tournament

No changes will be made after the official start time

🌊Conservation Guidelines

Reel Her In is proudly partnered with CCA Mississippi for marine conservation.

All participants must hold a valid Mississippi saltwater fishing license.

All minimum size and bag limits as established by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) apply.

Anglers are encouraged to practice responsible catch-and-release where applicable.

Proper fish handling techniques must be used at all times.

Littering or dumping of any kind in or near the water is strictly prohibited.
